Meet Dr Lindsey Allard (Chiropractor)

South Perth chiropractor Dr Lindsey Allard

Dr Lindsey Allard

Dr Lindsey Allard (Chiropractor) began practicing at Kensington Chiropractic for Health in 2006 as an associate chiropractor, taking over the business as owner and principal chiropractor in 2008. Dr Lindsey enjoys helping to improve the quality of life for her patients. Her career in chiropractic also allows her to enjoy an excellent quality of life balancing family and work.

A Helping Profession

Dr Lindsey thoroughly enjoys helping others which is why she turned to chiropractic treatment. She also likes that it’s a natural approach to managing your health and wellness. “I prefer to approach as much as I can in my life from a natural perspective; it’s quite a powerful tool that we have.” Though she enjoys working with all types of patients, she feels her greatest reward is working with kids and families.

Education and Certification

Dr Lindsey studied at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She trained in many modalities including rehabilitation, nutrition, soft tissue therapy and podiatry. “We got a broad-spectrum global view of wellness health.” Dr Lindsey is able to do a lot of what physiotherapists, nutritionists and podiatrists are trained to offer.

She also has a Paediatrics Certificate and will graduate with a Paediatrics Diplomate in 2015. Dr Lindsey is a Webster Technique Certified Practitioner. The technique is used on pregnant mothers to optimise their pregnancy and restore pelvic balance and function so the baby will be in the best possible position for delivery. She works with different doulas and midwives to support pregnant women in achieving their desired birth. She has also worked as a supervising clinician at Murdoch University Chiropractic Clinic, teaching and mentoring future chiropractors. Dr Lindsey is a member of the Australian Spinal Research Foundation (ASRF) and the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association (ICPA).

Finding a Balanced Life

Kensington Chiropractic for Health, South Perth

Dr Lindsey’s children, Cooper and Carter!

Seeking a more balanced life was one of the primary drivers in leading Dr Lindsey to move to Australia from Canada in 2005. She believes that Australia promotes a balanced life. In her adopted country of Australia, Dr Lindsey is able to enjoy time off, relax and focus on her children. Outside the office, Dr Lindsey enjoys spending time with her two young boys. They enjoy outdoor activities such as running, playing, going to the beach and picnicking. She is also constantly looking for ways to increase her knowledge base so that she can provide the best possible care for her patients.
